Starting to feel much more positive about these darned New Adventures

Hmm.

You know how I don't Do Venger/Sheila? You know how I've always said it's the one D&DC Ship that I just don't Get?

Um... The latest chapter of The Awful Truth's gone a wee bit V/S shaped. Nothing's going to Happen, I have many other things planned for little Sheila's tumultuous love life in the next few adventures and as far as this story arc's concerned, Big V lives the life of a Jedi, if you get my drift, but... well, for the V/S fans amongst you, here's a bit I was rather proud of.

The only sounds were her own breaths, and Venger’s, and the slow, steady flap of his heavy wings as they beat the sky to maintain their position. In the quiet, she noted that the three sounds had fallen into a synchrony, bringing a ponderous rhythm to the motionless night.

Hummity-hoo.

A fun challenge for Fic writers

Stolen from Sealgirl, although I did give her a nice little D&DC/LoM crossover in return.

Rules:

1. Clear your schedule for a few minutes.
3. Then look under the cut tag, where you will find ten prompts, all of which are book titles (selected at random from my shelves/desk/whatever's lying around).
4. Choose one of the prompts, and - using any appropriate fandom/character[s] - write.
5. Reply with your teeny weeny story in the comments to this post.

Note: you are on your honor here. Don't look under the cut tag until you're ready to start writing. Feel free to fix the spelling or tidy up the formatting before hitting reply, but the point is to see what people come up with in a few minutes (i.e., no multi-chapter epic romances. ;))
