1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?

Gave birth to a Boychild

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I kept one - to send The Specials off. All the ones about writing other Original things & finding an Agent - not so much. Next year I intend to write & send off Zombie Dad - I think that's doable.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

I did! And my friend C, and my sister's old housemate (also a very old friend from our childhood).

4. Did anyone close to you die?

Yes - my FiL.

5. What countries did you visit?

None, alas. Was either Fat With Child or in possession of a wee baby.

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?

A bit more money!

7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

Alex's birthday.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

My growing family.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Not getting The Specials commissioned, I suppose, although it was the most positive rejection I've had yet!

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Very bad stomach bug while pregnant in the spring - was bedridden for 4 days. Misery.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

Erm... my new non-pregnant clothes felt nice to buy.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

My wonderful hubby. My very grown-up sis.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

Stepfather's.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Food & rent.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Alex, Vi starting nursery school, and Christmas.

There's no one song for 2009, though 'Let Her Dance' was the song for this Christmas.

i. happier or sadder? Happier, but busier.
ii. thinner or fatter? Thinner, but I was pregnant then.

Writing proper stuff, sleeping

We spent it at home with the kids & the MiL.

Apart from pissing about with Cathy, none.

Yes.

STill loved Lost & BSG, discovered The Wire. Psychoville was the best one on actual Telly telly.

No. I don't really do hatred.

Ubik.

Elbow. (late to the party. I know.)

A healthy second child.

A commission from the Beeb.

Up, so far.

I turned 29. Because I was pregnant I didn't do much.

Getting more done with original writing.

Whatever Maternity Wear I Could Get That Didn't Look Completely Ridiculous, then 'hooray, I'm not pregnant any more' spit-up splattered chic.

The internet.

none, but it's been very nice flirting with the Spine, Krishnan and of course, Da Schneid on the old Twatter.

Public Spending cuts & the rise of the Bloody Tories.

My friends.
