Mummy has left. I've got a weird Hangover that's not quite a Hangover, but is lingering nontheless. Cooked a superb roast beef dins last night - well done me! The joint cost a packet though, although Mum insisted on buying it. And she bought me the most beautiful boots for Chrimbo. Yay! Also we found a pretty fleece for sis which Mum bought for her.

Even though Christmas is upon us, and I'm looking forward to all the visits etc we're going to be doing/getting over the next couple of weeks, I feel strangely depressed. Maybe it's the hangover. Maybe Mum being round reminds me of how fractured my little family is these days. Maybe Flo's fleeting visit and some recent texts and phone conversations with Uni Mates reminded me of how fractured my group of friends have become. Flo's trying to get Kev & Spud to come on New Years. I hope he can. I don't get to see Kev as much as I'd like and I really, *really* miss Spuddie. She's a brick, and a babe, and much misunderstood. Texted friends about my B/day party too. That always makes me nervous and depressed too. I like having parties, but I hate organising them, especially when they're for myself.

I'm nearly 26. Oh dear God, I'm nearly 26...

Baa Baa Black Sheep

Hmmm. Ian just rang. It seems that *everyone* but us and Flo were invited to the Christmas Party.

*knits a fine black jumper out of her own wool.*

I would prefer it if you could refer to it as 'The Midlands'.

Everybody has to watch Mrs Henderson Presents. It's brilliant.

It has Will Young's bum and Bob Hoskins' willy and Judi Dench saying Fuck!

I think it's weird how Little Stevie Frears can do something utterly cock like Mary Riley and then get a Mrs Henderson turned around. It's a lovely little film, with fantastic dialogue.

It also has Christopher Guest in a top hat!
