I hate my job on days like this...

Oh dear god, I have been trying to get this blessed child to have her nap for two hours now! She keeps saying 'bed', but when I put her down she wails non-stop. Gave up to have lunch, trying again now but she's still well squirmy. Can't do anything! Can't concentrate on wrting and my usual interweb haunts are throwing up nothing new for me to read. There isn't even anything new to read on fanficrants or badfic quotes so I can't scorn at the scorners with their tedious 'OMG a misplaced homonym' whines and 'hilarious' willful refusal to understand the concepts of metaphor or irony. Come on you guys, can't somebody be needlessly smug and overbearing? I need my 5 minutes Hate, especially on a day like today.

Oh, and it's raining. Did I mention it's raining and has been all day? An attempt to get groceries this morning left me absolutely drenched, and in need of a complete change of clothes. On days like this I yearn for even the crappest of office jobs - beats being stuck in the house by fucking rotten weather with no adult conversation, being screamed at for two hours straight (and counting).

Just tried putting her down again. Let\s see if she does a protest vomit. That would really make my day.
