I don't think so. It's only the first date. I'm not expecting much.
Couldn't be bothered to go to the gym. Twas late night shopping, and baby girls' hats were calling to me.
Also I've been watching my Birthday Present to me. I did Series 3 tonight. (Violet, most of the rest of this is aimed at you) 1st two... I was starting to get dissolusioned. Is it me, or are they a bit flat? I found myself mourning the innocence of the 1st 2 series a little. No more terrible Cardies, some very fluffy new hairdos (as much as I missed Colin's Curtains, I've spent a lot of tonight going 'SARAH!!! WHY?!?!?') No more That Bald Teacher... instead we had a ridiculous plotline where Nasty Businessmen like to have very revealing and exposition heavy conversations with answerphones. ('Listen. I think the paper's onto us. Better destroy all that incriminating evidence about all our dodgy dealings. And all those donkeys I molested and grannies I decapitated...')
But then... oh Lordy. 'Chance is a fine thing'. I'd like to coin a phrase here - Colin Will Make It All Better. And it's not just me saying that because I Heart Him - Hubs was practically crying at the restaurant scene. I thought no chat-up line could beat 'Ethel, do you want some money?' but 'Come with me to the toilet' manages to be better. Genius. Genius! And is it wrong that I thought his OfficeRestaurant was incredibly sweet? He brought slides! (and with the fluffy hair, even hubs himself remarked 'My God, he really does look like me, doesn't he? *smug*)
I also loved the Flashforward to 2005 - Oooh, it's all so futuristic... how comes whenever a fictional show creates a Future, it looks much like the time the show was made, only with shinier fabrics and swooshier doors?
In other words, I heart my prezzie. Go me.
Right. Now I have some sleeping to do.
