Scooters and Hooters
Sep. 27th, 2005 05:48 pmI am so frigging knackered! Two posts on the team still vacant, one on holiday = two people doing the work of five. Add to that Whitstable receptionist on holiday on Whitstable deadline = two people doing the work of six. On deadline day. With a boss who likes to take it out on the people who are in when others are off. The fact that she pissed me off majorly at lunchtime didn't help with the general air of stress and discontent. Also I think i might be coming down with something. Went to bed just after 10 last night (very early for me)... cue Hubby: 'Oh, I think I'll get an early night, too, go to bed when I'm not sleepy and proceed to keep my wife awake by talking at her for about an hour.' Jesus! It's a good job he's pretty.
Meant to frequent the gym after work, but just too knackered. Have my evil (yet rewarding) step class on Thurs, and if I have the energy I'll have a workout tomorrow.
The trousers of breakage broke again this morning, so I've got that to do tonight. Also, as pretty as this jumper is, I think it needs a vest under it. The neck's a bit gapey, and I've spent a lot of today accidentally showing people my bra.
On the way home, however, was cheered by the sight of a little boy and an even littler girl both whizzing down a hill on a scooter. The boy was steering it, with the little girl in front, and the look of exhilleration and glee on her face at the speed she was going was... just The Joys Of Childhood personified. Brilliant!
