The Cockney Sketch wasn't in it after all, but Ian & Hub's 'Thanks, Mum' sketch was.
I now want to do a comedy sketch show.

After hours drinking ensued (hooray for 24 hour licences - it was actually quite pleasant, and this was a, Medway and b, Wetherspoons, so that's saying something!) And Ian told me about this:

IT MAKES ME SO FUCKING MAD!
Canterbury is so ridiculously White, and it still suffers quite a bit from insitiutional Racism. I suppose you can put it down to people not knowing any Non Whites, but it really is NO EXCUSE. It's fucking pathetic. There were two black actors in that Panto, and they were both really good. I'm sickenned that they think that's how we feel in Canters because of one fucking idiot. And to try to spread your hatred in a kids show too.... Rrrrr... I'm sorry, but the N word was apparently used, and I find that more offensive than See You Next Tuesday. And then they hid in the crowd. Well, if you're so proud about being a complete cunt that you're happy to shout out your bullshit opinions in front of a bunch of children, then you should be proud enough to stand up in the spotlight and recieve the thorough kicking you deserve. The Guys at Tia (brilliant curry house round the corner) have to put up with Racist Abuse all the time, the poor poppets. Hell, even my (technically) Caucasian friends who have the good fortune to have a Less Than Pasty Appearance (Sylv is Maltese and has Olive skin, Kitty, for no apparent reason, looks so Greek that she's had people start up conversations in Greek towards her, and she's politely had to inform them that she's never been to Greece in her life) have suffered Racist abuse while in Kent.

WHAT CENTURY ARE THESE TWATS LIVING IN, EH?

Some people shouldn't be allowed near Homebase...

Nearly done all the things I set out to. Prezzies almost all bought & wrapped, cards almost all written & addressed (BTW LJ buds, for Chrimbley cards, do email your snail mail addresses, although it might be a bit late for the Non British... I'm thinking of making Comedy Icons as prezzies too. Let me know if you'd like one, although I think this one might be my favourite yet!)

Just need to put up the tree before Narnia. Woo!

What does your handwriting say about YOU?

Saw Narnia! Hooray!

And how much do I Heart Edmund? Or Eric 2 as he shall henceforth be known? Luvvim, luvvim, luvvim, luvvim!!! (*sigh* - I'm SO predictable...)

Bizzarely, my memory of the story was pretty sketchy, considering how many times I've been aquainted with it - I watched the BBC series and read the book as a child, and I was in a 24hr Theatre production of it in 99, but then I was Maugrim so I wasn't in it much and I spent the rest of the time pissing around.

Really enjoyed it - didn't find the whole Christ Analogy too heavy handed, in fact, a lot of it's nicely Pagan, innit? Liked Father Christmas' look (even though it's a bloody sily cameo) and I thought the talking beavers couldn't get any cuter... and then they got little bows and arrows! Bless!

Anyway, Happy Scribbles. Plus I got to see the PotCII teaser on the big screen and the full Kong trailer.
