because that means the weekend's over, and, dagnammit, I slept through it again. Spent all of Sat hungover, and slept in late today too.

Drove up to surprise Sylv for her BDay today which was nice, very sweet. It had been Jools' idea to surprise her, when we buzzed to come in he told her we were the landlord! She had requested 'something frivolous' (gah!) for her prezzie so I spent about an hour trawling Canters today for stuff that was just the right level of Girlie. Ended up going with a Bunny Rabbit Makeup bag and posh chocolatey/fruity smellies, which irritated me because I hate resorting to smellies, but she seemed to like them.

More Press Gang this weekend - whee! It had a lovely little rough cut of a 'making of' documentary on there, which was nice. And had Paul 'Ethel, do you want some money' Reynolds showing off to camera. A lot. I'm scared, because I've seen home video footage of Hubs in his late teens, and the similarity is. Just. Terrifying. The hair, the eyes/lashes, the nervous verbal diahorrea as soon as a camera is on them. Yeah, not only have I married an Eric, I have also married a Colin. Again, sans the cash. And yet I'm still proud. Go figure... And HOW JEALOUS am I of Stephen Merchant*? 'Oh, would you like your own show?' 'Well, OK, let me just quit my teaching job, then I'm all yours.' Bastard. Where's MY Dramady? Eh?

A bit more scribbling done, too. Ch10's getting difficult because they've all split up and I've got to keep track of 4 different plot threads at the moment. And I've had to do some Diana/Kosar Sap. Yuck. Ah well, you know me, I only build romances up to knock 'em down again, so I wouldn't give it terribly long. And I should have a 6th Chappy to Wonderful done soon.

Looks like the next couple of weekends will be in Smokey, so I hope no Cuntsacks try to explodify it because, shock horror, we uphold the freedom of the press.

BTW I love this new icon! *points* Might be my favourite yet!

* Edit - I meant Moffat, not Merchant. Why would I be jealous of Stephen Merchant, he's a big lanky, goggle-eyed freak.

I forgot to say, yesterday I saw the most early 90's thing ever - a little kid in a home knitted Turtles jumper! I believe it was Donatello. Not only was I pleased to see a Turtle, the fact that it had been knitted by a loving relative just made it all the more late 80's/early 90's Playground Chic to me. Brilliant!

Coming soon to a Retro child near you: Black velvet hard headband with child's name written on in puffa pen, stonewashed jeans with Bros patches on the knees and My Little Pony PE bags!
