Fat Tuesday
Feb. 28th, 2006 01:15 pmSo I got Press Ganged (scuse the pun) by violetcreme yesterday into finally spending my Birthday Money that's been sitting around on the dresser for a couple of months. I also rediscovered a couple of gift cards I'd hitherto forgotten about.
Feeling a bit perkier today, but still have a very sexy, phlegmy voice. And I need to sort out a few things for tomorrow - stuff for the car's MOT, daffs etc etc...
Oh, and a Very Happy Pancake Day, one and all! (it *is* Pancake Day, isn't it...?) Hurrah for taking the gorging festivals from Christianity and cutting out all the purging! Don't think I can be bothered to do proper pancakes tonight, but some Scotch pancakes with a bit of Maple Syrup might be nice (yes, I am still feeding my Cold with stodge). Good luck with anyone giving stuff up for lent - my sister still does it with something major (usually meat, chocolate or alcohol) every year. I'm just too weak willed!
