Generic Random Thoughts:

1, What is it about wet weather that makes drivers so much less sympathetic towards pedestrians? There's generally more traffic when it's rainy anyway, and they never slow down to let you cross the road, and they splash you with puddles. And yet it is the humble pedestrian who is getting soaked. (It was pissing it down this morning).

2, My friend Ian and I need the help of the Americans here to solve a riddle - why is Randy an acceptable first name over there? Is it short for anything? And does it mean the same as it does here (slightly more polite term for 'Horny')?

3, There's a black cat that's just been sitting in the garden for the last hour or so. I don't know what it's doing.

4, I think we *are* going visiting this weekend after all, after we had an offer from some chums we haven't seen in ages to be ferried to and from Cambridge station, and given free board for the night. Plus Greavsie will be there, and I love him to bits, and apparently he has some exciting news that he didn't want to tell us over the phone.

5, I can't get the hang of Excel. How do I re-order my rows? Clicking and dragging is just creating a world of confusion.

6, Got a load more done on the NewFic last night - I think I need to get it finished since I know exactly how it has to go.

7, I really fancy some pear cider right now. Mmmm.

You know when you think about an old joke and you start laughing again? This morning I was listening to 'Suddenly Seymour' from Little Shop and remembered the alternative lyrics we made up when we were doing the show:
