So Elton John is playing at Canterbury Cricket Ground tonight. I think that's brilliant, because KRN had a works Chrimbo party there once, and it's crap! Unless he's playing outdoors, it'll be in the depressing Working Man's Club style events hall. Fits about 300. Ha Ha!
I have been enjoying a fun day of live music and nostalgia today. Flo's part of this big music/dance/theatre festival up on the campus today so we strolled up for the afternoon. It's been SUCH a nice day today! For the first day all summer it actually feels like summer, and we were able to laze on the grass licking icecreams and listening to the bands. There were some good loud bands, and we found a few smaller stages doing chamber choir stuff (I Heart Chamber Choir music so very much) and a little Gospel choir.
Fun! And very Old School. Hard to believe many of those people there were a full 8 years my junior. Now that's depressing.
EDIT: You know, I'm pretty sure that 'something loud outside' is actually Sir Elton. He's just started 'Sacrifice'.
