Hmm. Empire's review of Pirates 2 is up - it's only got 3 stars. An ill omen, since they're usually pretty on the nose with their reviews. Their main complaint is there's too much work put in to getting all the characters back - even the really minor ones like Raggetty and Mister Badger, and apparently it's not as much fun as Pirates 1, which is the main reason I loved the original one so much - maybe because it was expecting to flop it let itself go all silly, which was great, whereas this second one... they *know* it's going to make a packet.

Still, have you seen what Old Walnut Whip Head Norrington looks like in this fillum?

So... mixed feelings at present. Hmmmm.

In other news on the weekend:
Hastings Beer Festival - Not so much fun when you're sober.
Very hot weekends - Not great when you're 13 weeks preggo and easily dehydrated
Flat - probably not as full of crap as we'd anticipated
Bexhill swimming pool - not as big as Canters swimming pool, but does have a wave machine
Footy - bah! Bloody penalty shootouts, eh? Still, I was very bored of it already, at least it's over for another 2 years.
