Weekend and that

Ho hum, there goes another fun weekend - in Cambridge with Anna & Russell (and Ian Harv & Sadie) this time. All good fun exploring Sunny Cambridge, teasing the cat, etc etc. Went to the WORST RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD last night. Middle of nowehere, ambience: Slit-yer-wrists grim, staff: Also grim and incredibly surly, menu: overpriced and samey, service: incredibly slow, food: 3 out of six weren't cooked through, a fourth was undercooked AND had a hair in it. We discovered 45 minutes in (when we were still waiting and another party who were there before us were threatening to walk out) that they'd had a partial power cut, which theyt really should have told us if the wait was going to be long and the food still cold - we could have gone elsewhere, but at least we might have returned at a better time. As it was, we didn't pay for the inedible food (we had *told* them it was inedible before the bill came) and will a, never go again and b, tell as many others not to go again. So - Never, ever go to the Ponder Rosa in Cambridgeshire. Ye be warned.

Went back to Anna & Russell's, ate toast, watched Mary Poppins.

Luckily, our friends are also geeks, so we all watched the last eppie of Doctor Que last night.

Egad, but it's long! Looks like there'll be about 8/9 chapters to it in all. Chapter 4, by the bye, has RK and Charlie's promised cameos in it.
