Yayyyy!!! I have my husband back! And so far today we have done absolutely cock-all! Had a long talk with Reb about childbirth and breastfeeding and a slightly shorter talk with Flo about his disappointment that my boobs hadn't grown and meeting up for tonight, cooked a pizza, watched a short amount of Star Trek and that was about it.
Hubs' course was brilliant, he got loads out of it. There are new plans afoot to write a feature film together, we've been batting ideas back and forth for a couple of weeks now and it's all sounding very exciting. I can tell you no more, however. All very hush-hush for the time being. Do still need to get the DDCC finished soon, and have started on my Something Terrible discussion notes, which I have been doing in a very Film Studies Essay manner - tres old-school!
Had my now-traditional Halloween Ghostwatch viewing last night, all on my lonesome. God I love that show so much! It really did play on contemporary paranoias (Millennial pseudo-spiritualism, pre X-Files concern with the unexplained, generic concerns about corrupted mass media) the way that Wells' WotW did, and the direction is just brilliant - the style of an amateurish live broadcast is just so well done you keep on having to remind yourself you're watching a drama. I'm always recommending this show, and what with it being Halloween, I'm going to do it again. BBC's Ghostwatch, 1992 - although you can't get it from the BBC because it is *still banned* - they'll not distribute it again, it was that effective. The British Film Institute distribute it, with only a 12 certificate.

Les Diaboliques - Black and White and subtitles, otherwise I'm sure it would be much more famous than it is. A brilliant chiller with a double twist that would make M Night Shylaman weep.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046911/The BBC dramatisation of Day Of The Triffids. Josella's accent takes a bit of getting used to, but it's so very good. Only watch if you have 3 hours to spare, since after you watch the first episode, you *will* have to watch the other five straight away.

'Not all of it...'
