I knew it - I *knew* it! I was getting Vibes yesterday, and I began to become very sure that we would still be boilers-less tonight. And Lo, I was right. He's coming on Wednesday now. Apparently. I know that I have so much to be grateful for - so many of you guys on my f-list are having such a shitty time of it broken boilers must pale into insignificance. But I want a hot shower, dammit! Even though I'm still showering my hair and rinsing it really carefully every day, today it feels like it hasn't been washed at all - my scalp's all itchy and my face feels greasy. Plus my Blood Sugar levels skyrocketed today (weird, since I was expecting it to do so yesterday when I was eating all the crap, but it didn't) so I can't even treat myself to any sweeties in compensation. Bah!

The weekend in question was very good fun, but even though we were based here and I was getting plenty of sleep it still really took it out of me. And, yes, we have a very busy month coming up. *sigh* NaNo? What NaNo? At present I can't even fit all my RL into my schedule.

Have been having weird dreams lately - well, very vivid ones, certainly. Had a typical anxiety dream about the babe last night in which I'd had her, but we didn't have anything for her. I used to get the same dreams about the wedding on the runup to that, in which it was the day and either nobody had turned up or I didn't have dress/flowers/food etc etc. Also had an epic Press Gang dream the other night which, being a dream, was utterly mad and made no sense - Col/Lynda/Spike Triangle! which could possibly make a bit of sense if you looked at Colynda from a slightly skewed and sad angle, but set in a totaliatarian dystopia and involving scary military police and an underground resistance movement in the East Midlands, which don't make quite so much sense. My abiding memory of it is the bit just before I woke up - Lynda and Colin had been arrested but had escaped, and Spike was trying to find them - his only clue was a scrawled note saying 'Notttingham (sic)' and then a three digit number. He went to Nottingham and found a sign in which an extra 'T' had been written onto the word Nottingham, and the sign was pointing vaguely towards a shop that had those metal shutters down over the front - he tried the number that had been left on the note on the combination of the padlock and it opened. That's when I woke up. Weird.

Right now I am making a recipe I found in the Guardian for stuffed butternut squash - how left wing is that?!?
