r_scribbles: (Childhood)
Look what I found - it's the Stonk! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVIoCahD7yw

the video quality's really bad, you can't really tell who anybody is apart from a very embarrassed looking Mary Whitehouse Experience and Mr Bean, but still, this really takes me back to a more innocent time when kids records were kids records, damnit!

Since this is absolutely all over my flist I have asked two people to interview me - one from the D&DC community & one from the Shed (RIP)... here's Gabi Webb's answers.

1) When you were thirteen years old what did you want to be when you grew up?
A stand-up comedian, or actress, or writer, or possibly a singer in a rock band. I would still *love* to do any of these for a living!

2) What do you want to be when you grow up, now?
See above. I want to be a professional writer, really... don't care whether it's books or scripts, but I'd love to have my own sitcom!

3) What is your favorite Johnny Depp movie?
Toss up between Edward Scissorhands and Sleepy Hollow. And PotC 1. Gah! Too much choice!

4) Who was your main role model growing up?
Cheetara, then John Lennon, then Michael Stipe, then Eddie Izzard.

5) What's your favorite place to write?
In the dining room/office of our house - it's the centre of our house these days, all three of us spend most of our time in here.

EDIT: And The Katie's...

1. What's the first question you would ask the wily-eyebrowed one in an interview (once you'd got over the opening pleasantries and assuming you could string a coherent sentence together)?

Probably 'Why the Hell aren't you in more stuff'? I'd like to ask him about Chris Craig too - it was an interesting portrayal of what could have been an out & out Baddie and I'm interested to know how muc research he did - whether he actually spoke with Craig.

2. Who was your first sleb crush?

Hmm... didn't really do Sleb crushes as a nipper (I was utterly in love with a boy in my class and it overshadowed all other crushes). I had a sticker of Robbie Williams in my pencil tin back in 92, after which I shunned Boy Bands and rather liked the Rock Geek Chic of Mike Mills from REM, and I adored Eddie Izzard in my mid to late teens. Not exactly your Just 17 poster boys, but then I've always been contrary.

3. If you could do one fabulous thing in your life, what would it be?

Write a screenplay and get it made.

4. What do you wish you'd written (book/tv/film/whatever)?

Hmm... well I wouldn't like to write something which I think is very well written, like Spaced or Firefly, say, since I wouldn't do it as well. I'm full of my own ideas to write. Let's say, I wish I could have written the D&D movie (which I still haven't seen but have heard is Pap) since I'd write the kids into it.

5. What did you wasnt most out of life when you were a kid?

To get out of Ilkeston (done) to acheive fame & fortune (yet to do)

Usual rules apply - If you want to be interviewed, say so, I'll give you 5 Qs, you post them with your answers on your elljay and pass on the offer of being interviewed.
