On the complexities of Fimblesverse

What - the curtains?
Aug. 19th, 2007 11:16 pmOur bedroom is now bereft one chest of drawers, one cotbed and one baby :(
We finally got round to clearing the back room of all the assorted junk that had accumulated in there and have turned it into Violet's bedroom. Still working on her frieze, but we bought a couple of nice posters from Woolies - one of Nursery Rhymes and a childrens map of the world to jolly it up a bit in the meantime. And the curtains! I had a lovely idea, since we were getting her blackout lining for her anyway, to get a nice pair of purple curtains instead of the faded old ones our landlady provided. Alas, we discovered this afternoon that we are both absolutely hopeless at putting up curtains. Didn't help that the instructions for the lining were for completely different curtain hooks. Aaanyway, the curtains are now up, but looking a bit... studenty. There weren't really enough hooks on the old curtains anyway, so I'm going to get more tomorrow and try again.
And I think this qualifies as my Most Boring Post Ever.
We're now one disk away from the end of Life On Mars! We finally saw the Overdose episode, which is my fave. I'd seen the Camberwick Green stuff before, so the bit that really made me laugh was the Lollipop Lady. 'Oh Shit' indeed!
