I have a job interview next Thursday. It's for a really nice sounding job, events admin with (finally) no selling. I wasn't going to mention it at all, I was going to be all cool about it... only I'm starting to panic about it now. I want to get the childcare issue researched before the interview, and I've grudgingly contacted one Daycare centre who don't have any vacancies full time. Thing is though, I keep putting it off and off because I don't want to give my baby over to somebody else! What if they're horrible? What if she hates it? Worse, what if she loves it more than being with me? What if I miss every milestone from now on because I'm at work?
*SIGH*
Wasn't panicking about it so much before I had a horrible anxiety dream about the whole thing this morning. Anxiety hasn't been helped by the big Daycare Centre having no F/T vacancies and sounding a little surprised that, if I did get the job, that's what I'd be after. I don't want to be in a position where I like the job and they want to give it to me but I have to turn it down because I can't get anyone to look after Vi.
Still. I have a list of several local childminders & Day Nurseries to email about vacancies tonight and the place I'm being interviewed may well have creche facilities too.
Other things that have made me happier - Whittard's Aztec Chilli Hot Chocolate, which is like liquid Crack and Jeremy Hardy giving Sandi Toksvig the giggles on The News Quiz. That crazy Danish Lesbian has the most infectious laugh!
