Apr. 16th, 2008 05:38 pmWhat a beautiful day it is! Very summery. Vi-Vi's in her new Summer Trousers (they're technically cropped, but she's still so diddy that you can't really tell that unless she's sitting down) and I'm rather impressed that she's managed to keep a pair of socks on pretty much all day. She has decided to ignore all the chick peas in the veggie korma she had for tea tonight... and I think she only ate the lentils by accident. She's still mental for her green beans though - she loves her legumes, and can spot one under a large pile of curry.
That tub of Ben & Jerry's was beautiful. Banana and walnut. Yummy.
My cold is continuing - it's bearable, but I'm constantly thirsty at the moment.
I have a new little fanfic on the boil, but I'm keeping it under my hat til it's done.
One of the girls I went to school with that I've friended on facebook has posted some school piccies. Most disconcerting. I'm in a big photo of the whole year, and mercifully a, we're all in uniform because the kids who *were* quite fashion minded in the mid 90s are looking less than slick in these pics, and by comparison I used to Dork for my country. Still do, I suppose. Most of my teen years photos are now missing after my parents split and moved out in a hurry, so I have no lasting record of just how daft I used to look, and b, I am a tiny speck in a sea of faces. This is good because I'm the one kid that had to blink when the photo was taken. Bah.
We have Bender's Big Score on DVD! Excited but concerned at the same time, since:
The Simpsons Movie wasn't very good. Yes. Spiderpig. Funny. Yes. I know. Please stop saying "Spiderpig" and pretending that you're wacky by claiming that's what you're going to name your non-existant baby.
Straight-to-DVD videos also tend not to be very good.
Family Guy went shit after Fox un-cancelled it.
But, you know, it's new Futurama. New Futurama! And yes, it hasn't been greatly hyped, but it was always underhyped to begin with, in my opinion. Catch you later, meatbags!
