I knew he was in hospital, since the latest series of Clue had been suspended, and when people of his age go into hospital you do wonder whether they'll be coming out again - lanky, trumpet playing Toff or no.
I can't imagine they'll do any more ISIHAC now - they coped very well when Willie kicked the bucket, but it really wouldn't be the same without Humph's sardonic presence.
Grew up with that show. Radio comedy rarely brings me to tears, but that did. Good times.
