Randomness
Jun. 7th, 2008 01:56 pmYay! The Random Journal search thingy is back! I spent about 20 minutes flitting from journal to journal last night and came to two conclusions.
1 - About 30% of the journals on LJ seem to be in Russian
2 - People whinge. A lot. The Russian LJs may also be whingeing, but I have no way of knowing whether they are or not. Anyway, going through the English language ones is a bit like listening to a long Blues song, each line of which has been written and sung by a completely different person, to a completely different tune.
We were going to go to the University's music festival thingie today, but the weather's atrocious and we can't be arsed, so there. We have exciting housework instead.
Nearly finished D&DC SummerFest story number 1... actually turning out to be quite a cheerful, positive piece, in spite of a dark and melancholy opening. What's all that about, eh?
I wish it was Christmas. We watched The Two Ronnies' Christmas Specials on DVD last night, thanks to LoveFilm's random nature, and there really is nothing more Christmassy that Ron & Ron singing faintly saucy songs on a tinselly set over glasses of pretend port, surrounded by Dancing girls sweltering away in Eskimo costumes.
