Well. The windscreen man showed up early, so it was all fixed and paid for in time for us to go to Playgym after all. Plus, it cost less than we'd been quoted, because our windscreen was a different one than they'd thought.
PLUS - Vi slept all night last night, eleventy! She whinged at half past ten, and then again at half one, but both times settled herself back to sleep. Not necessarily out of the waking habit yet - if she sleeps through again tonight I reckon that'll be her settled back into her routine, but I'll take another early night tonight just in case. She's been going through a massive growth and development spurt lately, too. She's much heavier than she was only a few days ago, and has started stringing a couple of words at a time together. The first was at two in the morning the other night, announcing 'bubbles gone' (we'd been given some bubble mix at the toddler next door's birthday party, which she'd enjoyed playing with, until we couldn't get any bubbles to blow) so since it was the middle of the night I didn't really feel like celebrating, but since she's been pointing out peoples shoes and feet, saying the person/toy's name and then shoes/feet, as well as saying when people or things are gone, or telling people or toys to sit. Loads more new words at the moment too, thanks to a jigsaw that she likes playing with. Oh, and she's 'counting' too. Only, every number, as far as she's concerned, is 'seh'. Tonight she picked up one of the pebbles she'd taken from Whitstable beach, said 'stone', then 'pah stone' ('pah' is Makka Pakka from In The Night Garden), then took the stone to her Makka Pakka doll and made him 'clean' it by rubbing his hand on it. This stuff all seems so much cuter when I've slept.
All in all, quite perky today. My cheer wasn't even soured by a necessary trip to M&S to get a new bra, and that's saying something!
