Jesus Shitting A Cracker, I'm tired today. Very early night for everybody, I think!

[livejournal.com profile] tin_o_biscuits was doing this writing meme, or to be more precise, youyou, as it's for anyone looking for prompts/inspiration for a ficlet and has the mental agility to type in a straight line right now - ie, not me!

I'll post the first line of all my full-length fics. You choose one and comment with a drabble/ficlet starting with the same line, unrelated to the original story. Ready? Go!

1 - The dragon’s head crunched and popped under his foot.

2 - A hot day in the Realm, thought Presto, was like nothing he could have imagined on Earth.

3 - 'Wake up... For the love of God, wake up!'

4 - He knew the moment he surfaced that it was all wrong.

5 - Nobody was there to see the young woman strip and plunge herself into the clear, cold waters of the lake.

6 - Diana ran.

7 - In the end, Eric cried for over eight hours, and then slept for another fifteen.

8 - The note in Lynda’s drawer said this:

9 - There is a tower block.

10 - It had been a long, hot July day – the hottest so far all year – and it had turned into a sticky, sultry July night.

11 - Ford smiled his usual wide smile as the camera flashed at him and Arthur.

12 - Lynda fiddled with her long, silk skirts in the back of the limousine.

13 - In his dreams, there was the light and warmth of his sun.

14 - ‘Well then, Mr Kerr. Or can I call you Matt, now?’

15 - There was only an hour to go until the ballots opened, and Kenny was starting to worry that perhaps he wasn’t quite as sure a thing to take over as the new Editor as he’d previously thought.

16 - The White Palace was at peace.

17 - The sound of the 8.15 train woke Liz.

18 - It was the last day of August. In spite of the gently yellowing leaves on the trees and ripening blackberries in the gorse bushes that lined the canal, the weather had decided to make one last ditched stab at High Summer.

19 - ‘Hey.’
‘Hello.’
Geordi slumped down in one of the many chairs he could only imagine Data kept around for aesthetic reasons and tilted his head up to the ceiling.

20 - The sun was shining. It was a beautiful day. It was always a beautiful day.

21 - Doctor Li opened the door to a small house cast in gloom.

22 - He wandered, following the call. Either the other people couldn’t see him or they didn’t want to be able to see him sufficiently for their eyes to glaze over and gaze straight through him.

23 - Any relationship, between any two people, will have its highs and its lows, its peaks and its troughs.

24 - There’s another world out there – a world of magic, with a different set of rules to our own…
