Pickle's been very unsettled overnight so i haven't had much sleep = have been away with the pixies pretty much all day. I have been watching some really rather splendid stuff from across the pond instead of doing anything more constructive.
Firstly, the latest installment of Lost...
Yay! This episode was ace! Firstly I love Standalone episodes like this, secondly, after spending last week pretending to care whether Dr Dull lived, died, or moved to Alberquerque it was great to get back to Sun and the boys on the beach. Are Hurley and Sawyer the greatest comedy double act ever? With two liners like
'Dude. Nikki's dead.'
'Who the Hell's Nikki?'
they're certainly getting close.

But mainly - this was InJoke City, which I loved. It was like a little Rosencrantz and Guildernstein are Dead episode what with the main story of Lost happening in the backround to their escapades. I loved Nikki's fear that they'd end up like Shannon and Boone (D'oh!) and the foreshadowing of their Schlocky storyline with the naff "Expose" opening. 'You know what happens to the Guest Star'. Tres Post Modern. I wonder whether Zucker was supposed to be Abrams, BTW, and whether the revelation of the identity of 'The Cobra' in the show was some sort of nod towards future Lost revelations. Who can say.

Also I have been watching the end of BSG Season 2 (yes, I know, I'm behind, but I'm in Blighty and we don't have satellite so I've been relying on LoveFilm DVDs although we have naughtily DLed S3 to watch next because S2 was getting really good and we didn't want to wait... Sssshh!) And I have to say this show is officially The Bollocks. I am hooked, big time!

My God! There have been a couple of other Standalone episodes of brilliance in this series - my faves being Apollo's little foray into Film Noir In Space and 'Downloaded', where I was delighted to see that Gaius was having the same effect on Caprica Six that we've seen her having on him - and it was good to see him being all sauve for a change. But the end episode, oh Lodie Lou...

Random Joyous Thoughts...
Al Calavicci and Xena:Warrior Princess as fucking Cylons!
Holy 'One Year Later', Batman! So delighted that a TV show dared to do that. Cue a lot of me shouting 'How the Hell did that happen?!?'
ie Chief and little Whatshername having a freaking baby, Gaeta working for Gaius now somehow, Kara and Lee's marriages, Kara's inability to get a haircut and Lee's discovery of All The Pies, all of which are utterly random but not as good as Adama's brilliant new mustache. tonight, Matthew, I'm going to be Burt Reynolds!
Am still in mourning for Billy Babyface and wondering whether Dr Baltar can get through an episode without a silent little tear dribbling down his chinny-chin-chin. He so kerayzee!
