Somebody up there hates me.
Sep. 20th, 2005 05:56 pmI have a nasty habit of always coming second in everything I do... everything where there's no second prize, anyway.
And, you guessed it folks, the glorious Features Job was no exception. Apparently it was a really tough call between me and the girl who got it, and it looks like 4 1/2 years experience with the paper didn't help me with the fact that they just plain liked Other Girl better.
So... very disappointed, very depressed and annoyed that now I have to go back to square one and start filling in stupid arse pissy application forms again. There were some positive things that came out of the good month or so I've just spent trying to get that job, but I'm too depressed to talk about them right now.
I NEED TO MOVE on one (at least) of my Things To Do Now I'm Married. Right Now! Job or House. Need a decent one of both before sproggage commencement, and I want to start *that* one ASAP too. Going out for pizza and serious chat with hubby tonight. I have to get my arse in gear. I have to get Him to feel a bit of the urgency too. We HAVE to stop pissing our 20's away.
