Sep. 22nd, 2005 09:45 pmRunning late (gym, then cooking delicious chickenny celery casserole, then discussing life plans with Ian) but wanted to go over some things that have annoyed me today:
1 - The tabloids acting all surprised that Kate Moss takes Coke. I mean, look at her - it's blatant. Also I get extremely annoyed whenever these hacks get all morally outraged that rich, famous people take drugs. Of course they do! Most journalists I've met have permanantly got 1/2 of Kensington up their nose anyway. And as for her being a role model for young girls - she's a fucking clothes horse! What sort of role model was that ever for little girls? "When I grow up, I want to starve myself and stand around in ridiculous clothes getting photographed"... there's plenty of beautiful, clever, accomplished women out there - find a better role model!
2 - Ditto to the Right Wing press reckoning that because Prince Harry's had a little PR enriching interview he's suddenly A Well Adjusted Young Man Who's So Much Better Than All Other Young People Anyway Because Posh People Are Just So Wonderful, Aren't They? Bollocks. He's just been told what to say (Army and his dead Mum Good, dressing as Nazi Bad.).
Well, Chappy 8 is up (yay!) read through it earlier - hadn't in a while. I'd forgotten quite how much Cavalier Abuse I put in there! He's had a reasonably easy time of late (if you don't count the facefull of mace or the emotional breakdown at the hands of Alice!) and I think I'd read some of Sealy's stuff and wanted to up the abuse ante. :) Will have to get back to Ch. 9 this weekend.
