...but not on me, please.

Yep, the snow did come down, shedloads of it. All over the East of Blighty (which is where I live, and also where I've been visiting). A third night in Hastings was considered, but I'd had enough and wanted to go home. Family is great, but only in small doses. I was starting to get cabin fever from all the Sitting Around, and a terrible headache, which I put down to all the choccies & booze that accompany festive family visits, so I was hardly the life and soul anyway. So, there was a window in the snowing at midday, and we left then. Car had been uppity driving over, but it did just fine going back, and the roads were fine, even in Ashford where it was supposed to be murder. Hooray for the petite voiture! It was a very pretty drive home, and Canters looks lovely in the snow - unfortunately, everyone's still driving like a bunch of spoids, but our driving's now over until I go back to work on the 3rd.

So, got back and managed to go out and get things done - Chrimbo money banked, sales visited (H&M and Next, anyway), pretty tops bought. New Years Outfit is now complete. I sent Hubs home too - I *really* needed some time alone. I'm quite a social animal, but after 5 days in other peoples pockets I start getting very crotchety indeed. Feeling a bit better now. Headache's gone, certainly. Kong tonight! Whoop!

1) Was 2005 a good year for you?

It was So-So. I didn't get as much done this year as I'd have liked, but I loved and was loved and acheived a few things.

2) What was your favorite moment of the year?:
The surprise birthday party that Hubby threw for me was pretty brilliant. Mum & Sis and about 10 of my best friends all getting blind stinking drunk in the basement of ASK, me, Flo & Kev having some sort of bizzaire gurning contest, drinking and eating until I threw up, then going back to eat & drink some more! Also sailing with Uncle John & Wicked Uncle Gordon (where the dolphins were spotted).

3) What was your least favorite moment of the year?
All the times I've been sick, not getting the Editorial job, July 7th and the few days after it.

4) Where were you when 2005 began?:
In The Miller's Arms in Canters.

5) Who were you with?:
Hubs and Ian.

Nope, 'e's good ter me, cor blimey.

15) Did you breakup with anyone in 2005?:
Does my abusive 'relationship' with Kent Regional Newspapers count?

Yep. I believe Jennywren and Hollibobs were new to '05. And Karen at the Marlowe is more of a friend now that she's not a customer any more. Also a few of Pooroll's Girls and all you good good people on the LJ - Sealy, Amy & Charlie esp since we have good chats, and a few of the non-LJ people on Helix, and Rhi, who isn't really on either, but who's good to chat to about D&D.

17) Who are your favorite new friends?:
See above. I ain't singling you buggers out again!

Alas, didn't have funds to leave Blighty on hols this year, but visited quite a lot in the little Pop-Pop and went on a great sailing holiday in the Menai Straight.

Well, that was the only one I went to!

33) What was the worst lie someone told you in 2005?:
My customers used to lie to me all the fricking time, but that was more lying to the company. I guess being told that I'd be better off staying at KRN than moving on. Uh-huh. See ya.

34) Did you treat somebody badly in 2005?:
Not really. I could be kinder to my Old Mum, I suppose!

35) Did somebody treat you badly in 2005?:
My old Boss could be very volatile and manipulative at work, which is sad because she's lovely out of it!

Oh, I'm always doing embarrasing things. I think trying to remember what had happened at Hastings Beer Festival. Also trying to get on the boat from the dinghy - highly embarrassing!

39) If you could go back in time to any moment of 2005 and change:
I wouldn't have wasted all that time trying to get int editorial - I'd have just moved on much earlier.
