I Got Gotted Twice!
Apr. 26th, 2006 10:22 pmThis is how it works: Comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation what the word means to you and why, and than pass out letters to those who want to play along.
ElfgirlJen gave me P, Sealgirl gave me H.
Poppycock - A great word. One of my favourite jokes from Family Guy involves the word 'Poppycock'.
Procrastination - I'm terrible at this. Why do today what you can put off 'til tomorrow?
Politics - 'Little bit of politics, ooh, Mrs Thatcher, Mrs Thatcher...' I like talking politics, especially with people who I disagree with. I am a Big Lefty, which means that happens a lot.
Pants - (British Pants that is, not Trousers) mine are black, and for once they match my bra! (sort of)
Presto - The D&DC boy I forgot entirely until I watched the DVDs, and have since grown awfully fond of. I love Geeks generally, and he's an interesting one - he's probably got the most scope to grow, Power-wise. Plus his weapon apparently hates him. Does anybody else remember that chain of supermarkets called 'Presto'? I do. Also when I'm writing tired I keep typing his name as 'Pesto' by mistake.
Press (gang) - While I'm on my geeky subjects, here's the Young Turk of my fandoms now laughing confidently next to D&DC. I've got a nice fat Monster of a Fanfic for it on the boil and I'm thoroughly enjoying the mad rambling that comes with it. Which leads me to...
Paul ('la' reynolds) - *Points at icon* The fictional objects of my desire are often more than a little odd, but tend to have similar 'qualities'. It didn't surprise me that while watching PG I fell in love with Colin. Paul Reynolds is the criminally underused comedy genius who played him. One day I shall make him a Star. Oh yes, my Brothers.
People - I like people, unless they're getting in my way or doing something stupid. I suppose I like people as a concept more than as an actuality.
Paige - I spoke to a customer whose name was Paige today, but I was positive it was a man! How does that work? Maybe it was a Tranny.
Post - I have the word 'Post' written on my left hand today as a reminder to post a letter and a card when I got back from work (I remembered).
Hair - I have a LOT of hair. Head hair has always been very thick, and is getting quite long now, and I'm not a Waxing sort of a girl. I continue to get hairier as I get older, which is worrying. My hair was blonde when I was little, but now it's dark brown. I have to wash it every day or I feel minging. I like black hair on men.
Heater - there's a little floor heater in here that I always put on when I write. It gets cold in here.
Hodgehegs - Thanks to The Flumps, this is what I call Hedgehogs.
Happy - I think, on the whole, I am a Happy person. Many things make me happy.
Hank - I'm so mean to Hank in my D&DC Fic! I probably do horrible things to him as often, if not more, than I do to Eric. I like to ruffle them perfect golden feathers. I like his dark side, but it's under so many layers of Goody-Two-Shoes-ness, I really have to give him a good prod with a sharp stick to get at it.
Hodel - I played Hodel in Fiddler On The Roof at school. I loved it!
Home - My Home has been Canterbury for a long time - longer than it should have been 'home' for, since once my parents split I didn't feel like the town where I grew up was a home any more. I saw it as Home even when I was a student, in the draughty house in Brabourne Close. This lovely, pokey, messy flat is utterly Home to me now. There's even room for a little Chrimbo Tree if you shuffle everything around a bit!
Hitchiker's Guide - I grew up with the radio version. I could probably quote it off by heart. It's all in our iTunes library now, and we keep getting random, 3 minute long segments of it inbetween songs. Marvin is my favourite.
Heap - I like Mark Heap. He's a legend. He appears to have aged an entire generation between Spaced and Green Wing. As much as Alan Statham cracks me up, he will always be Brian Topp to me. Does anyone remember him in The Two Marks (aka The Boo Brothers) on Ghost Train? Boo!
Husband - Hubby is the Best Person In The World. Fact.
