It was the Spacetweed wot dunnit...
Jun. 11th, 2008 01:29 pmHere's the thing - me and Hubs watched All Good Things - the last episode of TNG - the other night, and I decided that, after my screencap retelling of Sub Rosa went down so well, I'd do this Bad Boy too.
A few disclaimers before I begin...
a, I did actually think this was a really good episode. It was a great way to round the TV adventures off, and the return to the 1st ever episode actually added a lot of depth to that piss-poor Pilot in my opinion, as well as showing how far they had all come in those 7 years. The makeup and costuming were great (one costume in particular really caught my attention, as you'll find out as part of this post) it was well written, directed and acted, especially by Stewart, whose Old Man Picard act was joyful, and Spiner, who flitted seamlessly between three very different Datas, highlighting how much the Metal Gentleman had developed through the show and projecting into the future how he might further grow in sophistication. However, even with Good Trek, there are still Lulz to be had along the way. These are probably more affectionate Lulleries than they were for Sub Rosa, though.
b, My sense of humour went from Bawdy to Just Plain Wrong in some of the caps. Ye Be Warned! And this post is choc full of references to other things. Some of them are a bit obscure.
c, it's HUGE. It will make your Dial-up weep.
With that in mind, let's say 'au-revior', but not 'good-bye' to the Superchums...
