Hubs has abandonned the homestead to go on a jolly to Amsterdam for Jools' stag weekend, but I have my Mummy and her husband down :) They're babysitting when I go to Smokey for Sylv's Hen Night tomorrow too. Double :)
Eeee! Doctor Who's gone all good again!
Proper old Skool British SciFi, that was. A little bit Wells, a little bit Wyndham. A very good script, well directed, produced and acted, no soapy family issues and not one badly CGI'd monster chasing people down coridoors. Plus...
How wonderful, beautiful and charming is Jess Stevenson? And she fucked the doctor! Whee! The 'can you dance?' line was so very Daisy. She's triff.
I love 1910s Eveningwear.
The Doc's Dream Journal was great, wasn't it? I liked the page where he'd drawn his previous faces.
DaisyMatron: What's that a picture of?
Doctor: Oh, that's of when I was Paul McGann.
DaisyMatron: you were very pretty back then.
Doctor: Yes, but my adventure was rubbish.
They're getting got by the smoke monster from Lost! Plus that little pixiefaced boy (he auditioned for Teeth, dontchaknow) gets Futureflashes like wot Desmond does and hears The Whispers. Next episode they stumble on a secret Dharma station, you mark my words!
Poor old Martha. Everybody's being all Racialist to her. But why does she have to be in love with the doc too? Why does every woman have to fall in love with him? He's a beanpole!
Oh, and he 'can make himself human'? Where did that spring from? He'd better not be able to change back Just Like That, or that will be Cheating!
More of these please, though!
