...and now an icon Meme...
Oct. 14th, 2008 07:30 pmStolen from The Katie, this time...
Look at your LJ userpics list. If you have fewer than twenty icons, post them all. If you have between twenty and fifty icons, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five icons, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five icons, pick every tenth one. List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly why you have it, why it's interesting to you, and what significance it has.

This is my default icon - a still from the yummy opening sequence of Ghostbusters of East Finchley. Union Jack underpants, a Cowboy belt and holster, Paul Reynolds' bottom. What more could you ask for? I keep it as my Default because it's nicely abstract, colourful and injokey at the same time.

Made this one for Sealy originally, since she likes Penguins and H2G2. I also like these things, and that is one of my favourite H2G2 quotes, so I kept it.

A still from D&DC episode 'City at the edge of Midnight'- really beautiful colouring and lighting in this scene - I didn't have to doctor it in Photoshop at all. I just thought it was a nice shot of Eric, concentrating on his cape. I think it looks a bit Angsty.

OMG, somebody on Lost, smiling?!?!? I really liked the Camper Van episode, it was lovely amongst all the Angsting of S3 to have a lighter, more positive episode, and I did several icons of it. I kept this one because I liked the look of it, and Sawyer's expression of pure, unadulterated glee at riding in the van is joyful.

One of a batch I did of slightly obscure British 80s cartoons - this one is from Family Ness, as I'm sure British readers of A Certain Age will remember. I like the way the 'Wheeee' of the Thistle Whistles goes off into the edge of the icon, I just think it's a nice, obscure little icon.

Eddie Izzard! Me and my friend from school were obsessed with him when we were 18! I still think he's jolly funny, although I prefer him in drag to out of it, hence the icon.

This is from the Lost Outtakes on the youtubes, hence the poor quality of the image. I just think it's hilarious. Jin's face is brilliant!

Aaahhhh! One of
vicxntric's beautiful animated D&DC icons, of Presto and Varla - the closest I come to a D&DC Canon Ship. I do love Presto. Not as much as I love Eric, but the love's still there. I also appreciated the Firefly quote.

One of a batch of Soul Calibur Laydeez icons I knocked up using images nicked off the SCIII website. Taki's my favourite. I find her as easy to play with (*fner*) as Seong Mi Na and Sophitia, but she's way cooler a character than they are. I sort-of ship her with Mitsurugi. Weird.

Hee hee! Visually, I don't think this is a great icon, but I was very proud of my caption. Data sure does put the Fun into Malfunctional. He also puts the Funk into it, but only if you spell "Malfunctional' wrong.

My Ship! They are so doomed. Again, aesthetically I don't rate this, but their little pre-tryst moment is so fleeting that there's only a couple of caps of it available.

Erm... a lot of TNG icons popping up at the end here, and none of my many PG and La Reynolds icons have come up in this 'every 10th one' lottery. Anyway, I really like this icon, I think I did well here. It's even a buttery sort of colour. Cap taken from Ensigns of Command, just after that stalker girl kisses Data. There's a rather pretty mouth going on under that giant schnozz, innit? Plus, that caption is probably literally true as well as figuratively. He's filthy in bed, though. I hope all youse kids realise that.
