r_scribblesSo, Barnardos have launched an ad about us vilifying kiddles, using dialogue actually not that shockingly all taken from genuine comments on mainstream online news boards. I'm guessing they got about 70% off BBC's Have Your Say, and the rest from the Heil Online... although I think it's actually very possible to find 10 or so comments on the most innocuous of subjects from HYS to make us all look like a bunch of Sociopathic bastards, because HYS is peopled entirely by hateful, attention seeking cunts. Ad is here, if you want to vada.
I know I whinge about Bloody Kids from time to time, but really, the vast majority of kids and teenagers are fine. I come across far more vile adults, to be honest, and rotten adults don't seem to realise that kids are learning their behaviour off them. Kids do get unnecessarily demonised, it was the same when I was in my mid teens. I have never experienced so much sheer bloody rudeness from perfect strangers as I did when I was 16 through to 18... many of them middle aged or older. People can be really rotten to kids... usually to kids that they've weighed up will probably be too polite to do or say anything back. Bah.

A cold orange juice first thing, then a hazelnut coffee after my shower.

No. Never have been. I can do sit-ups, though.

Wedding ring.

Writing daft stories about teenaged journalists in early 90s suburbia, 80s kids stuck in a fairytale world with an annoying Unicorn and a robot in love with a dead chick.

I love Canters, but I don't like our street. The house itself is perfect for us, just it would be much better on a quieter street, and with a bit of a front garden/driveway.

One, and a little tiny one that sulks, unused, in the bedroom.

Spuddie has a laugh that can deafen dogs at 100 yards.
39. Do you drive the speed limit or speed?
I try to stay at the speed limit, but sometimes it can creep up... I speed on the motorway, though. Not stupid speeds, just 80-85mph instead of 70.

Hope not. They're out of luck if they do.

1984. No... Slaughterhouse 5. No... Day of the Triffids. Arse. One of those. Mid 20th Century paranoid SciFi. Top stuff.

I was woken up several times this morning before the Violet switch-over when Hubs had to set off for work. The first time I woke up was at God-knows-what time - certainly a while before Hubs' half 6 alarm - by Violet making monkey noises to herself in her bed. So the first thing I thought was 'what time is it, and why is that bloody child awake and pretending to be a monkey?'
