Lost - The Variable
OMG Faraday's a Secret Widmore!
OMG HE GOT SHOT BY HIS MOMMA!!!!
I was kind of hoping that he'd shoot Richard, if only because I'm positive bullets will get pushed out of his rapidly healing body, a-la Wolverine.
I was also hoping that we'd get a bit of Dr Strangelove quoting. 'Where've you put the bomb? The Bomb? The Hydrogen Bomb? Now, Richard... Richard... You're getting upset now, Richard...' and so on.
I think he might have gone a wee bit insane in the membrane, though. I mean, surely Time Travel For Dummies states that if you change the past so that a calamity that caused you to be in the past in the first place never happened, then you wouldn't have been able to have gone back and changed it in the first place and so on, and that generally paradoxes are a bad thing to live in. Maybe it's just a BTTF Thing and all the Losties would just end up in a different reality where the hatch was never built, the plane never crashed and Marty's mum ended up married to Biff and getting really massive knockers. I dunno. But fiddling with the fabric of the universe can't really be a good thing, can it?
Plus, can I get a quick 'lol' for the Flashback Wig and Ikkle Charlotte's horrible ginger dye job/accent combo? Ell to the oh to the ell to the lulzies!
Oh, and before I go... what is with the recurring comic book, and is there more than a sentimental meaning to Hurley's Charlie Guitar? I'm guessing definitely yes - it's too big a prop and featured to heavily to just be a reminder that Hurley misses his Hobbit.
And was Penny wise to leave Ikkle Charlie with 'that nurse'? Very doubtful. Very doubtful indeedie. Glad Des still isn't dead, though. Just about makes up for the probable passing of the teary, jittery, mumbling super-scientist.
