So there's precious little that I want to watch over the next couple of days - Dr Who, 2 Ronnies, Goodies Reunion and that's about it. All of the decent film are ones I've already seen loads of times.

Time to rely on our extensive Home Entertainment System. A little Die Hard may be in order tonight, and I wouldn't mind watching Edward Scissorhands or Batman Returns. Since last night's 100 Greatest Family Films list, Hubs has been wanting to watch the LotR trilogy again, but we always get restless and have to switch off when the Lads get to Rohan. 4 hours in following a bunch of characters and then we have to get used to a whole new bunch of characters who do nothing but ride Bobbos around all day? Get outta here! Actually, that Rohan bit's probably the best when you're watching the commentary - Bernard Hill is a Comedy Genius!

Anyhoo, I digress. We do need to brave Tescos briefly for essentials, which I'm not looking forward to, but I'm keen on going out to watch the Carol Concert in town tonight. Allegedly the Old ArchBish turns up and Blesses Canters from the BHS balcony, which I'd like to see.
'Oh Lord, we pray that you bless this cotton/polyester blend bra and briefs set, a bargain at only £9.99.'
'Yea, and the ten socks for a fiver are a great deal too. Ah-ah-men!'
:D Actually I wouldn't mind seeing Dr Rowan. As Heads of Organised Religions go, he's quite a dude.

Yay! Just got back from the Community Carol Singing - what fun! In Rose Square, for those of you who know Canters (outside BHS). ArchBishy was there, atop a double decker bus, gave a great speech - got us all to first whisper, then scream 'Happy Christmas'. Being in the middle of about 1,000 people all whispering is kinda weird. It was really great, very very Christmassy, lots of strangers chatting and laughing with each other. Now that's what Chrimbo's all about! We were next to a little family of 3 generations - an enthusiastic Nan, a young Mum & Dad & their tot (on Daddy's shoulders).
I do like the ArchBish, too. I like his politics, and he's a very funny guy.

Feeling lovely and Christmassy now. Got Hubs' prezzies all wrapped, kitchen full of food & booze. Just off to cook tea and heat up some Mulled Cider. :D

That's me now, so have a great Christmas everybody!
